Instructions for use of drill bits for holes in glass with battery operated Dremel Minimite Drills: Put the glass piece in a shallow bowl of water. The water captures the dust to prevent you breathing it in and causing lung damage, as well as keeping the glass cool so it won't crack from the heat produced by the rotation of the bit. To start the hole, tip the drill at a 45-degree angle to the glass on the front side of the piece. When you have made a slight indentation in the glass, hold the drill straight up and apply light pressure. You will be able to see the drill bit going in and little wisps of drilled powder in the water. Remember to use light pressure when drilling to avoid cracking, chipping and breaking the glass.
