We are a small home-based business that hopes to expand as our products become better known and appreciated. Our goal is to provide the highest quality dichroic jewelry and fused glass art with friendly, fast customer service. Our pieces differ from the competitors by using only the finest raw materials and paying strict attention to the detail of each piece. We strive to provide that extra level of courtesy and service by our willingness to respond quickly to questions/inquiries. We take great pride in our creations and love to hear from our happy customers.
Vicki excels in the little stuff, making a big impact on Dichroic Beauty. She's the expert in cutting the glass for the earrings and all things made into dots. She's also a master with a diamond bit and drills all the holes in the pendants and earrings without cracking nary a one (unlike Susan, who cracks 3 out of 4). After working in the corporate world for twenty two years, she's now happy to make tiny things working with glass.
Susan started experimenting with art glass in her clay pieces in 1999 while pursuing an art degree. After watching a demonstration of fusing, she started fusing her own pendants. Since then she has created much larger pieces, taught almost all aspects of cold and warm glass and currently designs and finishes all the multi-layered pieces for Dichroic Beauty. She also teaches private workshops in fusing and making beads with a torch (lampworking).
Robert and Vicki have moved! Dichroic Beauty is now based in Lytle, Texas - approximately 30 minutes from San Antonio--home of the Alamo, the Riverwalk, and the World Champion Spurs.
Susan is still stuck in San Antonio with all the traffic and construction!
