All fused glass pieces are made with strict attention to detail and the best of materials. We use dichroic glass manufactured by Coatings by Sandberg, the premier coater in the glass industry, and capped with clear glass to protect the coating from scratches and chips. All of our pendants on this site are made with multiple layers of dichroic glass to ensure that each piece is a one-of-a kind, wearable piece of art. Each piece goes through multiple firings during the creation process as well as a final "fire polish" to bring back the glossy finish after grinding. All of our pieces are properly annealed in the kiln for strength and durability, ensuring a piece can be passed down through the generations.* All bails are made of .925 sterling silver or .930 Argentium silver unless otherwise noted. All crystals used are genuine Austrian Swarovski crystals. Earrings posts are nickel free, made of titanium, and the pads are made of nickel free surgical steel for irritation free wear, as are the backs/nuts. The extra cost for the nickel free titanium is well worth it for those of you who have problems with allergies and have to wear 'hypo-allergenic'. The back of each cabochon is dremeled for the best adhesion to the pad of the post. This website is A WORK IN PROGRESS! You can click on the individual pages above to look at some of our work. If you see any pieces that you just have to have or if you have any questions, please email esales@dichroicbeauty.com OR call (210) 259-9532 for Vicki, (210) 219-4640 for Susan. *Annealing is a process where the glass is kept at a specific temperature in the kiln for a specific amount of time so that the glass molecules can realign. This strengthens the glass and makes it so that it is less likely to crack or break for no apparent reason. It does not, however, guarantee that your glass piece won't break if dropped on a hard surface, such as tile or concrete. Your glass piece can always be fused back together but it well never look the same as the original.
